What is the Preferred Educational Agents Pilot Program? (CANADA)

The Preferred Education Agents Pilot Program (CANADA) is an initiative by Expo Vente a Canada to support Canadian institutions with qualified, ethical, and locally based education agents who assist with student follow-up after our recruitment fairs.
This program seeks to ensure that students receive timely, accurate, and transparent information — and that institutions can count on professional agents committed to responsible practices.
Agents included in this pilot must meet strict eligibility criteria, including ICEF certification, a physical office in the country of the fair, and a commitment to ethical recruitment practices.
Eligibility Criteria to Participate in the Preferred Educational Agents Pilot Program
To join the Preferred Education Agent List and participate in our fairs, agents must meet the following standards:
1. Ethical & Legal Requirements
No Immigration Advice
Agents must not provide immigration guidance unless they are a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).
IRCC Compliance
Agents must follow all regulations outlined by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), particularly those related to visa applications.
2. Local Presence & Representation
🏢 Physical Office Required
Must operate a verified office in the country of the fair. Proof of location is required at registration.
🧑🏫 Trained Representatives Only
All staff working at the fair must be briefed and trained on the institution(s) they represent.
3. Institutional Integrity
🎯 Exclusive Focus
Agents may represent no more than 2 institutions per fair to ensure focus and avoid conflicts.
🔐 Data Use Restrictions
Use of student lead data is strictly limited to the institution that provided the contact list.
🌍 No Cross-Promotion
Agents must not promote other countries or destinations to students sourced from Expo Vente fairs.
4. Operational Restrictions
🔗 No Subagents or Aggregators
Participation is limited to direct agency staff only. No external recruiters or partner offices.
❌ No Competing Events
Agents may not organize or promote recruitment events that compete with Expo Vente a Canada within the same market.
5. Service Commitment
📞 Lead Follow-Up
All student leads must be contacted within 24 hours of the fair.
📄 Reporting Compliance
Agents must submit post-fair reports at:
1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months intervals.

7. Fees
💰Payments for higher education institutions, such as tuition fees, must be made directly to the institution and not to the educational agency
No fees should be charged for immigration services unless legally authorized. ICEF certification or equivalent is required.

1. Agent Nominations
- All nominations will be reviewed by our team within 10 business days.
- The nominated agent must fully meet the published eligibility criteria.
- We reserve the right to request additional documentation for verification purposes.
2. Complaints or Violations
- Complaints must include specific and verifiable information (e.g., date, location, institution involved, and evidence if available).
- Anonymous reports will not be accepted, but the identity of the complainant will be kept confidential upon request.
- All reports will be assessed within 15 business days and may result in:
- Formal warnings issued to the agent
- Internal audits or reviews
- In severe cases, suspension or removal of the agent from the Preferred List.
3. Confidentiality Commitment
- All submitted information will be handled with strict confidentiality.
- It will only be used for evaluation and program improvement purposes.
4. Limitation of Liability
- Expo Vente a Canada is not liable for individual agreements or services provided directly between agents, institutions, or students.
- This program is intended to promote best practices but does not replace legal or institutional procedures between the parties.

El Programa Piloto de Agentes Educativos Preferidos (CANADÁ) es una iniciativa de The Wharton Group Inc. diseñada para apoyar a las instituciones canadienses mediante agentes educativos calificados, éticos y con presencia local, que colaboran en el seguimiento con los estudiantes después de nuestras ferias de reclutamiento.
Este programa piloto busca que los estudiantes reciban información oportuna, precisa y transparente, y que las instituciones trabajen con agentes profesionales comprometidos con buenas prácticas.
Los agentes que forman parte de este programa deben cumplir con criterios estrictos, como tener certificación ICEF, una oficina física en el país de la feria, y adherirse a prácticas éticas de reclutamiento.
Criterios de Elegibilidad para participar en el programa piloto de Agentes Educativos Preferidos
Para unirse a la Lista de Agentes Educativos Preferidos y participar en nuestras ferias, los agentes deben cumplir con los siguientes estándares:
1. Requisitos Éticos y Legales
Sin asesoría migratoria
Los agentes no deben ofrecer orientación sobre inmigración a menos que estén registrados como Consultores de Inmigración Regulados de Canadá (RCIC).
Cumplimiento con IRCC
Los agentes deben seguir todas las regulaciones establecidas por Inmigración, Refugiados y Ciudadanía de Canadá (IRCC), especialmente en lo que respecta al proceso de solicitud de visas.
2. Presencia Local y Representación
🏢 Oficina física obligatoria
Deben tener una oficina operativa y verificada en el país sede de la feria.
🧑🏫 Representantes capacitados
El personal presente en la feria debe estar previamente capacitado sobre las instituciones que representará.
3. Integridad Institucional
🎯 Enfoque exclusivo
Los agentes pueden representar máximo 2 instituciones por feria para garantizar enfoque y evitar conflictos de interés.
🔐 Uso restringido de bases de datos
La base de datos de estudiantes solo podrá usarse para promover la institución que la proporcionó.
🌍 Sin promoción cruzada
Los agentes no pueden ofrecer otros destinos (como EE. UU., Reino Unido, etc.) a los estudiantes captados en Expo Vente
4. Restricciones Operativas
🔗 Sin subagentes ni agregadores
Solo puede participar personal directo de la agencia. No se permiten reclutadores externos ni oficinas asociadas.
❌ Sin eventos competidores
No está permitido organizar ni promover ferias educativas que compitan con Expo Vente a Canada en la misma ciudad o mercado.
5. Compromiso de Servicio
📞 Seguimiento inmediato
Los agentes deben contactar a todos los estudiantes registrados dentro de las 24 horas posteriores al evento.
📄 Informes periódicos
Los agentes deben presentar reportes de seguimiento en los siguientes plazos:
1 semana, 1 mes, 3 meses y 6 meses después de cada feria.
